David Gitau, CFA

David is currently the Chief Commercial Officer and Head of Financial Advisory at Lofty-Corban Investments Ltd. He has strong technical expertise in leadership, strategy formulation and execution, Investment Advisory, as well as Portfolio Construction and Asset Management.

With wide experience in the sector, he has previously worked at AIB Capital as an Investment Analyst and a Corporate Finance Analyst. He was Portfolio Manager at Madison Asset Management Ltd where he led the Investment Department and oversaw the Investment Analysis and Dealing Team.

David also worked at CIC Asset Management Ltd as a Portfolio Manager overseeing the Investment Analysis team and rose to position of Senior Portfolio Manager and Head of Business Development, leading the Investment and Distribution teams.

His passion for the industry has led him to be involved as  member of  the Collective Investment Schemes (CIS) Committee of the Fund Managers Association (FMA) and to represent the FMA in the Research Panel Committee of Retirement Benefits Authority (RBA).

David has a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree and has attended various leadership and technical courses. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the CFA Institute, the Institute of Certified Investment and Financial Analyst (ICIFA). He also holds the designation of MCSI from the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments (CISI).

While not working, David enjoys spending time with the family, watching squash and the occasional game of football.
